We are excited to welcome new students in January! Student leaders and staff will help new students adjust to their new environment over the course of several days before classes begin on Monday, January 17. In early January 2022, students will receive information about signing up for math and writing placement sessions during the first week of January. All new students should plan to move into their residence halls on Wednesday, January 12 between 09:00 and 17:00 Swiss Time.

Please note that some components of the arrival and orientation schedules will be finalized in early January. The state of the pandemic; cases in Switzerland; and public health regulations implemented by Switzerland, Canton Ticino, and Franklin will determine what kind of activities we will be able to host to welcome you in January.

We will be in touch with new students with more information as soon as we have it! Please note that the schedule below is tentative and that new students will receive a final version when they arrive on campus.

The Office of Student Life will host two question-and-answer sessions on Zoom so students and their families can ask questions!

The first session will be held on Wednesday, December 15 at 20:00 (8:00 p.m.) Central European Time and the second will be on Sunday, January 9 at 18:00 (6:00 p.m.) Central European Time. These sessions are not mandatory, and all are welcome to attend! Students will receive the Zoom information via email in early December.
